CC-ing the Heads

This is a short narrative of the head Cc-ing process.  First is my simple inexpensive kit.  It consists of a syringe with a capacity of 10 cc’s and a smaller syringe with a capacity of 3 cc’s.  and a jug of Marvel Mystery Oil.

My first step was to make a Plexiglas disk and place a hole in the center.

Next was to place the head on the table and level it.

Afterwards I coated the surface with a thick grease to act as a seal for the Plexiglas disk.

Don’t forget to install the plugs, or when you start to fill the cylinder you will get a Red Mess.

Filling the cylinder is easy and did not take longer than an hour for all four.  The 10 cc syringe made for more work, but only had to be filled 5 times and then the 3 cc syringe was used.  My accuracy was to .1 cc.

Many thanks to Mark Langford and his site for instruction and help.
